Pledges to Protecting Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health from the Impacts of Climate Change.

iHeal HealthTech, a major champion for digital health treatments, has promised its help in protecting maternal, neonatal, and child health from the negative effects of climate change. This commitment is in response to a global call to action to address the nexus of health and climate change, particularly among vulnerable people.

Our Vision

iHeal HealthTech has long been dedicated to using digital health solutions to improve healthcare accessibility and outcomes. Recognising the growing threat of climate change to maternal, newborn, and child health, iHeal is broadening its mission to include proactive actions to minimise its effects. iHeal's goal is to build resilience methods and support systems that can resist the difficulties posed by climate change through creative techniques and partnerships.

The Call To Action

The World Health Organization's (WHO) call to action emphasises the urgent need for coordinated actions to address the health consequences of climate change. It highlights the sobering truth that climate change disproportionately impacts society's most vulnerable members, such as pregnant women, newborns, and toddlers. These groups are especially vulnerable to the negative health consequences of environmental change, such as rising temperatures, harsh weather events, and changing disease patterns. Pregnant women are at higher risk of heat-related illnesses and difficulties during pregnancy, whereas newborns and young children are more vulnerable to malnutrition and infectious diseases exacerbated by environmental degradation. Furthermore, ecosystem destabilisation can disrupt food and water sources, causing increasing hunger and nutritional deficits among vulnerable people.

As a result, immediate and coordinated action is required to mitigate these consequences and protect the health and well-being of those most in danger. Read the report here.

Commitment to Action

iHeal HealthTech's commitment to preserving maternal, neonatal, and child health from the effects of climate change demonstrates its attention to public health and social responsibility. By joining the worldwide effort to address this vital issue, iHeal hopes to contribute its knowledge and resources to developing new solutions, raising awareness, and advocating for legislation that enhances climate resilience in healthcare systems.

iHeal HealthTech's Pledge to Foster Global Digital Inclusion Through Edison Alliance

Furthermore, iHeal HealthTech has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing global digital inclusion by pledging support to the Edison Alliance. This initiative aims to connect 1 billion individuals by 2025 to essential services such as healthcare, education, and finance through digital platforms. iHeal HealthTech's dedication to leveraging digital health interventions aligns with its broader vision of positively impacting the lives of 10 million individuals by 2025. Through innovative digital solutions, iHeal aims to address healthcare disparities and improve health outcomes for individuals in underserved communities. By joining the Edison Alliance, iHeal HealthTech demonstrates its commitment to fostering global digital inclusion and ensuring equitable access to essential services for all.

As the world grapples with the escalating challenges posed by climate change, the commitment of organizations like iHeal HealthTech is instrumental in driving collective action and fostering resilience in healthcare. Through collaborative efforts and shared responsibility, we can create a future where every mother, newborn, and child has the opportunity to thrive in a climate-resilient world.
