Creating frameworks for female-led entrepreneurship
Minister of Women And Child Development, Ms. Smriti Irani, emphasizes the pivotal role of women in India's growth story at the CII Partnership Summit 2023.
During her speech, Ms. Irani stressed the need to scale up small businesses to medium-sized organizations for the country's economic growth. She asked pertinent questions, including how to identify female-led enterprises that are ready for transition to mid-size companies and what markers can be used to locate them.
Furthermore, Ms. Irani highlighted the linguistic divide, unavailable tech in languages, and the importance of hearing voices from minority women and community participation. These are areas that need our attention to create a more inclusive and prosperous society.
Ms. Irani also emphasized that "If you matter, make sure women matter" and highlighted how Indian women are at the very fulcrum of positive change and powerful transitions.
